Submissions
Viper Media is currently accepting submissions for Issue 1: ANIMALIC. We're looking for work that feels instinctive, unsettling, intimate and unexpected. We welcome emerging and established creatives from anywhere in the world.
SIMULTANEOUS SUBMISSIONS
Simultaneous submissions are welcome.
If your work is accepted elsewhere, please let us know as soon as possible so we can update our records. Previously published work will generally not be considered unless agreed upon in advance.
RESPONSE TIMES
We'll aim to respond to all submissions within 4–6 weeks after submissions close.
If your work is selected, we'll be in touch regarding publication, contributor information and any accompanying imagery or formatting requirements.
ISSUE 1 DEADLINE
Submissions close: 31 August 2026 (AEST).
Late submissions may be considered for future issues depending on availability.

ieces that are raw, surreal, psychologically charged, or quietly unsettling.
Theme: ANIMALIC
We're interested in interpretations of the animal beyond the literal. Think instinct, hunger, transformation, violence, tenderness, desire, territory, ritual, bodies, survival, inheritance, obsession, domestication, decay, the wild and everything in between. The theme is a starting point, not a limitation.
